On my project list for some time now has been to clean up the bottom of my wardrobe.  I wanted to build a shoe storage system but have just kept putting it off.  Enter my readymade solution = cheap, easy and almost instant.

This cheap solution was ideal as it was white wire, matching the existing white wire shelving and not too big that it would invade the hanging space.

What I like about this shoe rack is that all the shelves are screwed in place, I previously had a similar shoe rack purchased and used elsewhere in my home that the shelves just sat on the side supports, each knock would see it come crashing down.

Anyhoo – in a short amount of time I managed to turn that mess in the bottom of my wardrobe, from this:

Complete with some confiscated items and old uniforms that were relocated, to this:

That pool noodle was purchased some time back to insert into the boots so they stand up, finally did that too!

It’s a compromise to the shoe storage shelf I had planned on building but I am more than happy to live with this solution.  One less thing on the project list!

Is the bottom of your wardrobe a dumping ground?  How do you store your shoes?  Note, I don’t really have that many and my sneakers are elsewhere but I still have some room to fill
